Well, there's good and bad news. When I came home from work today, Jack was walking. I mean really walking. All over the place and without prodding. But, unfortunately, while showing off his new found expertise at walking, he fell head first into the ottoman. I wasn't really worried about this at first until I noticed Jack had blood on his bink. And when I opened his mouth to see the damage, I noticed that some of the skin from the inside of his mouth was stuck in the gap between his two front teeth. I, of course, was really worried. Ned, on the other hand, said he could unlodge the skin with a toothpick. I don't even want to know what he was planning on doing with a toothpick in that poor kid's mouth. I called the pediatrician's office and they told me to try to bring down the swelling with ice or the like and, hopefully, the situation would correct itself. As of this posting, we've had no success and the skin is still wedged. In case you can't visualize what I'm talking about, check it out:

If there's no improvement by morning, we're supposed to call the doctor back so they can see about helping him out. Poor little Jack. It hurts me just looking at it.
In case you're thinking that we're crazy folks photographing our son's pain, my niece snapped this pic on her camera to send to my sister the nurse so that she could give us advice about what to do. So far, no word from Tammy regarding a solution for the misfortune that has befallen her only godson. Thanks sis.
Love,
Allie
