4 going on 14; 40 going on 14

Sometimes Bear and I totally get each other. You'll remember that we rented Camp Rock (the Disney movie starring the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato) yesterday but Samantha wasn't allowed to watch it because she had to go to timeout yesterday in school. We told her that if she was good all day she could watch it tonight. She really wanted to see it so I think she tried to be good. She sort of fell off the wagon at dinner tonight but she wasn't horrible. I was secretly praying that she would be good enough so we could let her watch it. Why? Because I was dying to see it too. How can I listen to those catchy little teeny bopper tunes and not want to find out the backstory? Call me a romantic.

After baths, Daddy and Jack laid in our bedroom to watch the VT/Clemson basketball game and Bear and I piled up in her room to watch "Camp Rock." Mother/daughter bonding at its best. Unfortunately for Bear, she was VERY tired because they went swimming today at school for a field trip. So she missed the last 20 minutes or so of the movie. I, however, stayed until the end. I'm wondering how much Camp Rock and High School Musical you can watch before your mind turns to mush.

We went to the club for dinner tonight because we hadn't yet reached our food minimum plus I got a free entree since it was my birthday month. Jack ate like a tank. I brought food for him plus gave him whatever he could eat from what we ordered. He loves bread of all kinds and rice. His only mishap was to hit his head on the dinner table which had a granite top. Ouch. He screamed bloody murder for a minute and then shook it off. We were all pleased with our dinner and BCC had the basketball game on in the room where we were eating. Overall, a pretty successful outing for the Skinners.

The H2Okies are travelling to Pittsburgh tomorrow for a swim meet. Ned, the lucky dog, will get to meet up with our Pittsburgh friends for dinner tomorrow night. He doesn't return until late Saturday night. Bear starts gymnastics class on Saturday morning at VT so Jack and I will be taking her. I'm anxious to see how she likes it.

I'm going to knock off early tonight. I was up late last night because I had a date with my new pretend boyfriend ADA Mike Cutter from Law and Order. He's a special man.

Love,
Allie
