Happy New Year

My blog. . . my friend. . . it's been too long. For anybody who keeps up with this thing, sorry for the lack of posting recently. As mentioned previously, we were in Florida from Christmas Day until December 30. We got home the afternoon of December 30 and Ned and I had to immediately tend to our jobs. I worked all day yesterday and last night the internet was down so no blogging on New Year's Eve. On New Year's Eve, I was asleep by 10:30p.m. Ned watched football and Bear, Jack and I watched High School Musical 1.5 times. We watched it through one time and then Samantha wanted to start it again. I figured we would both fall asleep and we did. So, if you count the viewings last night, the several times Samantha watched it driving to the airport on Christmas Day, and other occasions, we've probably seen HSM about 5 times in less than 2 weeks.

Christmas was great. Samantha really was into opening presents this year. She opened hers, Jack's, and then went after mine and Ned's. She also commented that Santa didn't put his dirty plate and glass (for milk and cookies) in the kitchen sink. We told her that Santa was in such a big hurry delivering presents that he didn't have time to make it from the family room to the kitchen. Kids notice the weirdest things.

Jack was interested in the wrapping paper more than the gifts. He got some cute toys, books, DVDs, and clothes. Bear got a doll, books, games, doll accessories, clothes, etc. Ned got a bunch of stuff for the Wii and a camera. I also got a camera (from my brother), chocolate pearls from the kids, and a ring from Ned. We all also got a bunch of other good stuff like money and gift cards and other things. In other words, we got so much stuff that I'm somewhat overwhelmed.

Bear, Jack, and Daddy's foot before the unwrapping begins.

Pure Joy: HSM 2 Soundtrack. Now I can put one in Mommy's car and one in Daddy's car.

Bear with her new doll. She named her Elizabeth.

Wow. I dig this wrapping paper.

The weather in Florida was in the 80's. Bear loved being with her cousins and playing in the hot tub. Jack was overstimulated a time or two but he does enjoy being the center of attention. He's going through a stage where he wants to be held all the time. So far we are doing what he wants but that's got to stop.

I'm planning on making some New Year's resolutions. Here are a few:

1) Work out 5 times a week (I'm starting this one on Monday).

2) Get the iPod going (this will make #1 more fun).

3) Start using a wrinkle cream every day.

4) Learn to make a really good scone.

That's all for now. I'll post the rest as they come to me.

Love,

Allie
