Vintage Ned

Let's run through the day so far:

1. Ned leaves at 8am and informs me that he won't be able to meet my dad who is coming to do some work on one of our rental properties.

2. I notice that Ned hasn't unloaded the cooler from our Thursday night tailgate. The kids and I do this.

3. We notice that Ned hasn't unloaded the back of the Durango (tables and chairs) from the Thursday night tailgate. So I take my sprained wrist and do that as well.

4. My dad shows up and I load the kids and we drive out to the rental property so my dad can fix the shower.

5. I get Bear to take an early nap. At 1pm we get a call from Ned who informs me that if we are going to go to the swim clinic we had better get there NOW. I remind him that he told me 1:30pm and he says "It's a swim meet, you never know what time they will end." So I go into a tailspin and get the kids in their swimsuits and to the pool for the swim clinic.

6. After the clinic, Ned tells us that he has to meet with recruits. He does NOT inform us that this is going to take over the hour. So, after I sit there with a six-month old and a three-year old doing nothing for 45 minutes, we finally decide to leave the pool. As my mother so eloquently put it, "that's pretty inconsiderate."

7. Samantha is watching "Little Bear" on Noggin when Ned gets home. He takes the remote from her and turns the tv to college football. I'm currently listening to them fight over this.

Oh, Happy Saturday.

Love,
Allie
