Ned and I met up for lunch today. He wanted to go for Mexican food and I wanted to go to Panera Bread. I won - - we went to Panera Bread. Ned believes that Panera Bread is a chicks' joint. He said the only men who go to Panera are out with a female and that you will never find a group of guys eating there. Based on my observations today, he was right. Every male there was with one or more females. Chick joint or not, I never hear Ned complain about the food or the quality of it anyway. He did complain today that the piece of bread that I got to accompany my soup was bigger than his. It was like something Bear would say.
Frosty the Snowman was on tv tonight. So was Frosty Returns but we never like the new stuff as well as the old ones. We didn't even watch all of Frosty Returns. I must really love my kids because when I was flipping channels, I saw that The Holiday was on one of the pay channels. It's one of my favorite Christmas movies (behind Love Actually but not far). Anyway, I mustered up enormous willpower and let my daughter watch Frosty.
We're back to playing musical beds. Jack started in his crib; Bear in her bed; and Ned and I in our bed. Ned was snoring and I wanted to read for a bit so I went to the extra room upstairs for a bit. Instead of reading Solve Your Child's Sleep Problems, which should be my priority, I am into a chicklit book called Baby Proof. Once I was tired of reading, I went back to our bed. Fast forward a few hours and Bear climbs into our bed. Fast forward less than an hour and I move to Bear's room. Fast forward less than another hour and Jack joins me in Bear's room (I don't want to hear it; I know this is a big no-no but I've got to sleep). Fast forward to Ned leaving for swim practice and Bear returns to her bed and joins Jack and me. We've got issues.
Love,
Allie
