Caffeine

I went back on caffeine this week. Tuesday to be exact. 16 cups. I had the first 8 cups before 11:30 and the other 8 after I got home from work. I think it went pretty well except for the trembling hands and the slight nausea. It did keep me from feeling so tired though. I'm hoping that I regain that feeling I got in law school when I started drinking coffee - - that I didn't need to sleep and could accomplish anything. I don't know though; I'm about 13 years older with two small children.

Nobody can say that Bear doesn't have a pretty good life. For example, last week she received a package in the mail from a friend of ours, Liz. Liz used to be Ned's assistant coach. Anyway, Liz sent Samantha a small purse for playing dress up. I glanced at it quickly but didn't pay much attention when she opened it. I'm looking at this new handbag of Bear's today and I notice that it's actually very cute. I'm thinking "wow, I really like that myself." Upon closer inspection, I figured out why. The purse was Coach. Seriously. My daughter has a purse for playtime that I probably wouldn't have been able to afford until I was in my 20's. Mommy's thinking about confiscating that handbag. Don't tell Liz. I mean does Samantha really need a Coach purse to lug around 3 ruined tubes of lip balm and some crayons?
Fresh off of admiring Samantha's new handbag, I decided to check out the Coach website. I want a new handbag for spring and will probably be in Williamsburg next month so I can visit the outlet there. (Before you say anything, I still have my birthday money from Ned to spend.) I saw this beautiful pink handbag that caught my eye. It also caught Samantha's eye. She asked me if she could have this $498 handbag when she was bigger. I told her sure. I'm starting to worry that she has expensive taste.

Bear is currently showing me how her camera can fit in her handbag and how cool it is. It's decided; I'm definitely taking that handbag when she's not looking.
As for Jack, I have great news. He is officially all ours; I made the last payment on him today. I would call that money well spent.

Love,

Allie
