Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict

What am I doing? I finished "Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict" on Friday night. Last night I started reading a book called "Austenland" also a Jane Austenesque book. I stayed up until 3am so I could finish it. And not because it was a book you can't put down. Just because. Neither book was great; both were just good. However, if you're torn between the two, I would suggest you read "Austenland."

The problem with me reading this much is that I have a million other things to do. Like laundry, my real job, housecleaning, etc.

I failed to mention that daycare called us about Jack on Friday afternoon. They said he wasn't himself. He was sort of fussy so I took him to the doctor Saturday morning to make sure that he hadn't caught Bear's strep. He hadn't.

Samantha is much better. She even made it to gymnastics class yesterday morning. Ned contends that it's the mildest case of strep he's ever seen. The doctor just said we caught it early.

Of course I was too tired from my late night excursion to Austenland to get up for early church. That's no excuse but it's the only one I've got. We went out to brunch and then Ned settled in to watch the Daytona 500.

Jack can now crawl forward. In fact, he can just about walk. He is a little Tasmanian Devil. You can't take your eyes off of him for a minute because he will be in everything. Accordingly, although he will be turning over your endtables and breaking your valuables, you can't yell at him because he does it with a smile. It's exhausting staying on top of him.

Love,
Allie
