Speedo

I hate Speedo. No. . .detest is a better word. I detest Speedo. Here's the deal.

Last year, in time for the Olympics, Speedo came out with this new suit called a LZR. It was all the rage; Michael Phelps wore them. In fact, 94 percent of all swimming races at the Olympics were won by someone wearing a LZR. Even Ned was astounded by this statistic when I told him. Check it out yourself.

Anyway, because of the upcoming conference championships and NCAAs, there is a huge demand for LZRs in collegiate swimming. In fact, demand is far exceeding supply. Which means Ned doesn't have enough LZRS. Which means ALL I've heard about for the last week is swimsuits, swimsuits, swimsuits. It used to be the only thing I knew about swimsuits was that I didn't want to be caught dead in one. Now, you wouldn't believe what I know about competition swimsuits. Seriously. Speedo LZR; blueseventy; AquaZone. I AM SICK OF SWIMMING.

Ned is obsessed with trying to outfit his team. I tried to tell him that there's only so much a swimsuit can do. I mean you can put 2 LZRs on me and I'm still not going to be much help to you. Know what I mean?

Anyway, women's ACCs are next week in Maryland. Go Hokies!

Bear had a checkup at the dentist today. She did great; I was really proud of her. She got a good report except for a certain section of her teeth that she (I) needed to brush better. Her dentist gave us an hourglass so Bear would know how long she needed to brush.

After school, she had a golf clinic. It was only Bear and another little girl and the assistant golf pro. I dropped her off and Ned picked her up. He said she did a good job. Between golf, gymnastics, and choir, Bear has a lot going on.

Ned went to pick Bear up from the golf clinic in the golf cart. Because the weather was nice, he took Jack. When Jack saw Ned coming toward him with the Baby Bjorn, he almost jumped from my arms. He LOVES the golf cart and taking rides. Ned said he was so happy.

The golf cart ride must have really taken a lot out of Jack because he ate a lot for dinner. Almost a full jar of baby food, lots of mashed potatoes, some ice cream, and a bottle after bath. That kid looked like he was going to explode if you put one more morsel of food in him. But he did pass out after his bottle. Hopefully, he will sleep well tonight.

I'm going to try to unwind with a book or magazine so I can sleep soundly. It's been a bit of a problem lately. I can sleep but I'm waking up a lot which means I'm tired when I get up in the morning. I'm sure the two Diet Dr. Peppers I put away over the last hour aren't going to help matters.

Love,

Allie

I have heard about a prescription drug which combats excessive daytime sleepiness. It's called Provigl. Perhaps you should check with your doctor and see if Provigl is right for you.

Have you seen those toothbrushes that flash for approx a minute? My boys love it, keeps them brushing until the light goes out. Hope all is well and Happy Valentine's day!
