Things are starting to get crazy around here. I think I mentioned that Ned is going to be out of town next week for men's NCAAs. I will be in Richmond for work as well. My mom is keeping Jack and Bear for the week although they will be joining me in Richmond on Wednesday evening. So, this morning, I met my sister Tammy with Jack and Mom so that she could take them to Mom and Dad's. Then I took Bear (who is singing in church tomorrow) to my Aunt Ginny's who graciously offered to watch her so I could go to Bluefield to get some things done before I leave for Richmond Monday morning.
Bear had a great day-- they played games, watched movies, read books, ate good food. It was like a mini-vacation. I also got a lot of work done and when I got home late afternoon, Ginny, Bear and I went out for dinner. Olive Garden had an hour wait so we went for Mexican.
Bear and I snuggled in my bed after her bath and we turned on the tv. To my chagrin, "Dancing with the Stars" was on and, before I could turn the channel, she noticed it. Which meant that I had to spend over an hour watching DWTS in what was an encore presentation of the show Bear had watched part of on Tuesday night. She didn't care. . . she wanted to see it anyway.
I've got a couple of observations. 1) That dude from the Sex and the City movie is HOT! Oh, and he can dance too. 2) Lil Kim is surprisingly good at the waltz or whatever it is she did (it was slow and there was no rapping involved). 3) Those girls have to be using a lot of double sided tape to keep their "stuff" in those outfits as flimsy as they are. 4) Can Belinda Carlisle really be 50 years old?
Although I enjoyed the time spent with my daughter, I will not be tuning in next week to see who is eliminated.
Love,
Allie
